This is a 1,000 foot spool of Acculon nylon coated fishing wire that is coated in black nylon. Acculon is made up of 7 strands of stainless steel that is then coated in nylon. It is intended to be used for downrigger cable or making fishing leaders. This product is 100% American Made, and it is lead free. By tightly stranding seven stainless steel wires together, the Acculon leader wire refrains from kinking while providing excellent strength. The nylon coating will help prevent any type of rust that could accumulate after years of use. The overall diameter varies depending on the test strength ranging from .024" (.61 mm) to .052" (1.32 mm).
